WP6 - Policy analysis
WP6 will develop a policy relevant analytical framework based upon the understanding and potential utilisation of the modelled scenario output outcome and integrated model-based outputs of WP4. WP6 is designed to provide decision makers with a series of clear outcomes and model based tools that will allow for effective evidence based decision making
WT6.1 Assessment of ES and poverty scenario outputs of WP4. These will be presented to the key stakeholders to create a Policy Response Framework. The Framework will delineate the effects of policy changes on the modelling activity and will enable assessment of the impacts of policies on poverty alleviation.
WT 6.2 Projection Outcome Simulations. Scenarios developed in WP4 will be used to perturb the boundary conditions of the scenarios to produce a range of plausible possible futures. This will provide a wide series of possible futures for assessment and analysis
WP6.3 Scenario Impact Analysis. Utilising Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) impact assessments, decision makers will be requested to provide their likely policy responses to selected potential futures. A series of workshops (following on from those outlined in WP1 and WP4) will be utilised to validate the outcomes with stakeholders
WT6.4 Dynamic Systems Modelling of Policy Option for Optimisation: Key stakeholder, decision makers and project partners will re-run systems dynamic models with identified policy responses. This process will provide the opportunity to explore the potential range of impacts of given policy interventions both in the short and medium term (2020/2040/2060).
WT 6.5. Framework for Iterative Learning Loop. The policy responses from stakeholders in WT 6.4 will be fed back through the modelling to provide dynamic responses to policy challenges. The learning loop will allow for a range of policy options to be iterated within the model. This process will embed the overall approach with the policy makers, providing ownership as well as give sustainability in the context of activity after the project has finalised
